PRIVACY POLICY
WHAT WE
KEEP.
PIPEDA-aligned notice for a GTA studio. The brief is used to quote and produce. We do not sell your list. Overseas partners only see what the job requires.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how MUIL Hub (“MUIL”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and discloses personal information in the Greater Toronto Area and elsewhere when you use this website or brief a job.
We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario privacy rules for commercial activity. This policy is a notice, not legal advice.
2. What we collect
From the brief form: name, email, company name (if you give it), the division you chose, and the content of your message, including any artwork or specs you describe.
Automatically: basic technical data your browser sends (IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed) if our host or a future analytics tool records it. Today the public site is a brochure and brief form.
On this device: a copy of your submitted brief may be stored in your browser’s local storage so you can see that it was sent. That copy stays on your device unless you clear it.
We do not ask for payment-card numbers, government ID, or health information on this site. Do not send them in the brief.
3. How we use it
To respond to your brief, quote, produce, deliver, invoice, and support the job.
To contact you about that brief and closely related production or creative work. Submitting the form is your consent under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) to receive those commercial electronic messages. You can withdraw consent by telling us in writing; we may still email you as needed to complete an existing job or as the law allows.
To keep records required for tax, accounting, and dispute handling.
To improve the site and our process, in aggregated or de-identified form where we can.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the brief form to build a third-party advertising list.
4. Who we share it with
Production and creative partners who need what you sent in order to fulfil the job — including overseas manufacturers, casters, freight, and print shops. They receive only what the job requires (artwork, size, quantity, shipping name and address if you gave one).
Service providers who host this website, email, or files, under contracts that limit their use.
Professional advisors (accountant, insurer, lawyer) where needed.
Authorities if the law requires it, or if we must protect MUIL, our partners, or others from fraud or harm.
Information sent overseas is no longer only in Canada. Those countries may have different privacy laws. We share it only to complete the job you asked for.
5. Cookies, storage, and tracking
We use strict-necessary storage to run the site (for example session and the local copy of a brief you submitted). We do not currently run advertising cookies or a marketing pixel on this site.
If we add analytics or a payment tool later, we will update this policy. You can block cookies in your browser; the brief form may then fail to remember a draft.
6. Retention and security
We keep job records for as long as needed to produce, invoice, reprint, and meet tax and legal retention (often at least 6 years for financial records in Canada).
Briefs stored only in your browser remain until you clear site data.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We use reasonable safeguards for a studio of this size. Do not send secrets through the public form.
7. Your rights
Subject to PIPEDA and the law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, and request a correction. You may withdraw consent for marketing contact (we do not run a newsletter today).
Send requests through the contact form and name “Privacy” in the brief. We may need to verify it is you. Some records we must keep even if you ask us to delete a marketing preference.
If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Minors
The site and our services are for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version here. The effective date will change. Continued use of the site after that date is acceptance of the update.
Privacy requests: open a brief and name “Privacy”. Binding production rules live in the Terms.
