ANSWERS.
Origin, time, files, ownership, and returns — in the same plain language as the floor. Legal detail lives in Terms, Privacy, and the Disclaimer.
What is MUIL Hub?
MUIL is a Greater Toronto Area production and design hub. We make physical goods and brand assets for creatives and small businesses — apparel, print, promo, identity, web, and specialized pieces such as jewelry CAD. We are a production partner, not a hype clothing label.
Are you a streetwear brand?
No. MUIL used to speak like one. The hub now builds other people’s brands: merch, signage, stationery, identity, and campaign kits. We still work in a premium industrial look. We do not sell a seasonal drop on this site.
Where are you based?
The hub is in the Greater Toronto Area — Brampton, Mississauga, and Toronto. Briefs, specs, and quality checks run from here. Pickup and local delivery are available in the GTA when the job allows.
Is everything made in Canada?
No. Some work is produced locally. More complicated products — including certain jewelry, CAD-to-cast pieces, and jobs that need equipment or capacity we do not keep on the floor — may be fulfilled by overseas partners. Origin is confirmed on the written job before we start. See the Disclaimer.
How long does a job take?
Typical jobs take 10 to 30 days after you approve the system (files, placement, materials, method). Large runs, overseas fulfilment, custom jewelry, reprints, and delayed approvals take longer. A date is an estimate until it is locked in writing. Rush is sometimes possible. It is never assumed. In some cases depending on the job 1 to 10 days.
How do I start a project?
Send a brief: who you are, what you are launching, production or creative or both, and a rough quantity and date if you have them. We return a path and a written quote. A quote is not a contract until you accept it in writing.
Do you have minimums?
It depends on the method. DTF and embroidery can run small. Screen print usually needs a larger run to make sense. Large format and jewelry CAD are quoted per job. If a quantity is too small for a method, we will say so and name a better one.
What files do you need?
Logos as vector (SVG, AI, EPS) when you have them. Photos as high-resolution PNG or JPG. We can redraw a weak file as a paid creative job. A phone screenshot is not a print file. See Education for vector, bleed, and CMYK.
What is the difference between DTF, sublimation, and embroidery?
DTF is a full-color film pressed onto cotton and blends. Sublimation soaks into polyester or a coating — you cannot feel a thick layer. Embroidery is sewn with thread. Digitizing turns a logo into stitches before the machine can sew. Education has plain-language examples for each.
Will the color match my screen?
Not exactly. Screens glow in RGB. Printers mix CMYK or thread. Neon on a phone often prints quieter. We proof before production. Approving a proof means you accept that color, placement, and size.
Who owns the artwork?
You keep your brand. You must own it, or have a license to use it, before we produce. Sending a logo, character, or photo is your warranty that you have the right to reproduce it. MUIL does not grant rights to third-party or copyrighted characters. Production files we create (digitizing, press-ready layouts, CAD models we model for you) are licensed to you for that job; reprints through MUIL may reuse them. Full rules are in the Terms.
Can I return custom merch?
No. Custom and approved production is made to your brief. It is not a retail product and is not sold on a cooling-off return. If we made an error against the approved proof, we remake or credit that part of the job. If you change the job after approval, that is a new paid job. See Terms — production, refunds, and cancellation.
What if I change my mind after the proof?
Before we press, sew, print, or cast, you can still change the system — time and cost may move. After production starts, a change is a new job. Waiting on your approval is not production time.
Do you make finished jewelry?
Yes & We do jewelry CAD (the 3D model) and can route approved models into wax, casting, and setting through partners, including overseas. Gold, stones, and finish are specified on the job. CAD approval is required before metal is poured. Changes in CAD are cheaper than changes after casting.
Do you print copyrighted characters or logos I do not own?
No. We will not knowingly produce Nike ticks, team marks, cartoon characters, or any third-party IP you cannot prove you have the right to use. If a job is refused on IP grounds, that is not a delay you can bill us for.
How does payment work?
This site takes briefs, not checkout. We quote in writing. We may require a deposit before production and payment in full before goods are released or files are delivered. Taxes (including HST where it applies) are extra unless the quote says they are included.
Do you ship outside the GTA?
Yes, when the job calls for it. Carrier times, customs, and duties on overseas legs are outside the production clock. Loss or damage in transit is handled with the carrier once we have proof of dispatch. Risk and Incoterms for a given job are stated on the written order.
How do you use my information?
We use your brief to quote and produce. We do not sell your list. Submitting a brief is consent to be contacted about that job. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
I have a dispute. What law applies?
The laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. See Terms.
Still a grey area? Put it in the brief. Binding rules: Terms, Privacy, Disclaimer.
